 Is your heating or cooling system running constantly while you count the dollars going out the door? Then a thermal image scan from Cenla Home Inspections maybe the answer for you!!

At the request of my clients I have developed a Cost-Effective Home Energy Scan. This service is meant to meet the following 3 criteria;
  • Be a real value to my clients in terms of benefits and price
  • Give good information on practical cost-effective energy upgrades
  • Have no conflict of interest so my recommendations could be trusted
The fact is that the largest cost item for me as an inspector is the time it takes to write the report, not do the examination. Writing the report takes up to 2/3's of the total time and therefore represents 2/3's of the price I have to charge for the traditional audit with full written report. By making the written report a do-it-yourself process lets me do an cost-effective energy audit of your home starting at $100* for a up to a 2000 SF home (.05 per ft. above 2000).

The Cost-effective Home Energy Audit is quick and easy. Usually taking about an hour for most typically sized homes. It is a non-invasive examination that will do no damage to your home. Yet give you a lot of information for making your home more comfortable and more energy efficient.

Step 1 - The Cost-Effective Home Energy Audit starts with an interview or discussion so I can be aware of any particular areas of concern you might have. As well as give you some ideas on how to get the most out of my inspection of your home.

Step 2 –The inspection will include: A full scan of the home using an Infrared Thermal Imaging camera, inspection of the HVAC duct work to check for leaks and a partial inspection of the heating and cooling equipment for proper function.

Step 3--Explaining what I see and what fixes and upgrades would make sense. While you take notes or tag the things we find.
